How does Dental Bonding and Contouring Work?
Bonding and contouring will be typically done in one appointment at our office in El Paso, TX. As soon as you're ready, a member of our staff will apply the bonding material to the desired teeth. The resin will be hardened with a special light before more layers are added. Once the bonding process is complete, we will contour and polish the composite resin and your natural enamel for a beautiful appearance. After bonding and contouring, it's important to not consume staining foods and drinks (such as tobacco, coffee, and tea) for at least 48 hours. The bonding material can stain and chip so don’t bite hard objects, like ice cubes, hard candy, pens, or your fingernails, and be sure to clean your teeth as soon as possible after eating.
