What to Expect from Clear Braces
On the day of your appointment at Awesome Smiles, we will clean and polish your teeth with a specific cleaner. From there, we will brush on a sealant, and the tips of your teeth will be lightly smoothed if needed. The clear brackets will be positioned on each tooth. When the mounts are in their correct position, we will use ultraviolet (UV) light to harden the glue. This procedure does not cause any discomfort and secures the braces to your teeth. The final step is threading the wire through the braces and using tiny white elastics to fasten the wire to the braces. The entire procedure typically takes several hours to complete. Once your braces are placed, you might experience some normal discomfort as your teeth, gums, and lips adjust to your orthodontic treatment, although these symptoms typically get better over time.
